Monaco…Cote D’Azur…Ft. Lauderdale. These three locations are quite possibly the worlds most prominent yachting destinations in the world. This is where the players play and it is never a shock to come to port and see twenty 150 footers nestled neatly together, all of which adorn beautiful womens names or clever hints to which captain of industry is aboard. It seems that St. Barths is picking up some steam in the battle to become the worlds premier yachting destination.

Flying to and from St. Barth is quite the adventure. Very small aircraft, a very small runway combined with the unique runway positioning makes for breathtaking take-offs and landings. The runway is positioned in such a way between a hill and the beautiful ocean, no matter which way the landing takes place it will be an experience.

Michel Malochet is the creator of a travel video “De Saint Martin a Saint Barth…” documenting his first hand experiences on these islands. We had the opportunity to interview Malochet, where he expressed his lifelong passion for photography and his experiences on St. Barth during the creation of his video.

“I have been keen on photography during all my life”, Malochet began. He embarked on his exploration of capturing the world around him by creating slideshows with musical accompaniment to share photography with friends and family. In 2004, Malochet expanded his passion to a larger audience by launching the website MM Video. With the advent of the digital age, he began to experiment with cinematography, creating a film in Morocco that was edited on DVD. Since then, MM Video has been the home for all of Malochet’s travel sourvenirs: photos, videos, screensavers and travel notes available in French and English. (more…)
