Dining
Offering a wide array of variety, there are close to 100 dining establishments in St. Barths. Their specialties range from exquisite and luxe restaurants to relaxed and casual dining and take-out.
The island boasts some of the best French and Creole cuisine with a range of other options. From Mediterranean to Brazilian to Thai to Italian to Japanese, the restaurants are diverse and unique with exquisite dinner menus. It’s worth sampling the island’s finest fare for lunch too, as there are plenty of beach side locations to eat with your toes in the sand. Wherever you choose to explore, reservations are essential in the high season, and recommended year round. It should also be noted that restaurants add a 15% service charge to your bill, so it is not necessary to tip an additional 15%, however it is common to leave a small additional tip for exceptional service.
St. Barths also has excellent delis and markets, where you can pick up local delicacies such as accras, blood sausage, fish soup, and spiny lobster.
