Fort Gustav
Fort Gustav was built by the Swedish starting in the year 1787, around the same time as forts Karl and Oscar. Of these three forts, Gustave was located in a higher geographic location, and from here the other Caribbean Islands could be watched and supervised.
Inter Oceans Museum
This museum was first privately initiated by Ingénu Magras, years before St. Bart’s because such a popular tourist location. Located in the beautiful city of Corossol, the museum offers a vast collection of seashells from seas and countries all over the world. There are 19,000 total pieces on display, 1600 of which are from the Caribbean area.
The Wall House Museum
The Wall House Museum is located on the Gustavia Harbor at La Point. It is a beautifully restored stone Swedish building that dates back to the years 1785-1878. It is famous for the historical artifacts and documents from historical St. Bart’s. Items such as oil lamps, farming tools and fishing boats are examples of historical artifacts you might find in this museum. These objects depict the island history that ranges from the indigenous Arawak Indians to the battles between the Swedish and French.
